Make money Online Secrets: The First Pre-requisite to Make Money Online
The first pre-requisite of success online is to research a target market. Any business thrives on its ability to meet the needs of a certain group of people, to solve a certain problem or improve their lifestyle in one way or another. In some cases, a business even solves a pain being experienced by the target market.
The very first thing that you must do before starting your online business is deciding what you are going to sell online. This will be based on an intricate balance of your interests, training experience and hobbies as well as the actual profitability of any niche market that you can come up with from your life experiences.
(a)  Your hobbies and interests: To give you a clear picture, I’m going to give you two examples.
- Let’s say you are a sales copy writer with a track record of twelve years of successful copy writing. You could easily write an e Book on “How to Write a Killer Sales copy†or “Insider Secrets  to Overcome the Buying Resistance of Your Prospects using Psychological Triggersâ€ÂÂ
-Let’s assume that you own a successful candle-making business. You could write an e Book called “How To Start Your Own Candle-Making Businessâ€ÂÂ
Hope you get the point here. The things you do with ease everyday could be the same information that someone out there on the web is desperately looking for. You could easily leverage on that to make money online.
If that be, lucky are you. But it doesn’t always happen like that. Not all hobbies, interests or expertise presents profitable business opportunities that you can tap into to make money online. Before you invest a dime developing that fanciful eBook proposition based on your hobby, you need to determine the profitability potential of the idea and that brings us to our second sub-topic; keyword research.
(b)  Keyword Research: When someone is looking for something online, his/her first step is usually to search over at his/her favorite search engines, right?
What does that mean to you? If you could keep track of what people are searching for online, then you could easily determine whether your idea is profitable or not. But you would have to be the president of Google you Yahoo to do that, right?
On the contrary, you can easily dig into what people are searching for online using the various keyword research tools available online. Some are free and some are fee-based but they are usually effective for this task. There are three that I particularly like and which have been really useful for me.
1. Wordtracker:
2. Google Keyword Tool
Wordtracker: this is a terrific tool that shows you the searches for any keyword that you type in. word tracker combines data from multiple search engines and will tell you exactly how many times a phrase or term has been searched for over the last 60 days. Although Wordtracker isn’t exactly free, a free one day trial is available here
Google Keyword Tool is another great keyword tool developed by Google. It was developed for Google pay-per-click service, popularly known as Google adwords. This tool allows you to see how often a particular keyword or term was searched. It also suggests related terms as well as list the number of times they were also searched for.
You can find Google Keyword Tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal for free.
Researching a potential market will greatly determine whether you make money online or just fail like most others.
You simply can’t afford to let your instincts guide you in this regard if you are really serious and motivated to make money online which I presume you are.
