When I visit online forums, I often see questions like “what is the easiest way to make money online for beginners?†and “How can I make real money online fast for free?â€Â
In such cases, I almost always immediately can feel the answer pounding in my head; affiliate marketing. Of course there are other ways to start earning real money online for beginners. For example you can make money online as a beginner blogging, make money online writing and, oh yeah, you can as well make money online as a beginner taking paid surveys.
And I almost forgot, you can also make money online with Google adsense. But this article will majorly focus on affiliate marketing.
In case you are wondering or doubting that you can make real money online or a living rather with affiliate marketing, then perhaps I should tell you that I have personally made more money online affiliate marketing than with anything else.
So, what is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is simply put the selling of other people’s products as an affiliate for the product owners while earning money in commissions for every sale that you generate. Yep, it’s that easy.
You don’t have to create the products yourself, take orders, handle payment processors and refunds or even provide customer support whatsoever. Simply refer potential customers to the product’s sales page or sales funnel and watch those commission checks rolling in.  Above all, you don’t need to have a website, blog or a list to start making money with affiliate marketing.
In fact, you can start making money with affiliate marketing at a zero budget. Of course the above things will accelerate your ability to earn, but they are not at all necessary to start earning. Sincerely speaking, I can’t see why so many people are still not making money online with it.
Whether you want to earn extra cash online or to replace your income, you can easily do that with affiliate marketing.
As a matter of fact, there are many superaffiliates that earn five figure to six figure incomes online with affiliate marketing and you can too if you are willing to put in an extra 2 to 3 hours every day.
To get started, you only need to sign up with affiliate programs of your choice. You can find affiliate programs in affiliate program directories such as clickbank.com, cj.com and shareasale.com. You can also search for affiliate programs on Google using “your keyword” + “affiliate program” e.g. “weight loss affiliate program” or “dating affiliate program”
Once you sign up with an affiliate program, you are then assigned a unique URL (link) that tracks the visitors you refer and every time any one of them buys the product(s), you earn a commission.
The key with affiliate marketing is to focus on a few products at a time. Focus is one of the most important principles of successful affiliate marketing and can make all the difference between never making a sale and making so much money that your bank manager questions your source of cash.
Which one would you choose?
Many people scatter their effort on so many affiliate programs that they have no significant time left for any one of them. If that is you, then you need to change your attitude to this game. But if that is not you, I’m happy for you.
The best approach is to find a group of people that have a desire to accomplish certain tasks or objectives and providing them with products that enhance their speed and capacity to achieve those dreams and objectives. Well, there are many ways in which you can promote affiliate programs from article marketing to forum marketing and social media among others.

1. Consider building a list of subscribers. While a list is not necessary to start earning money online with affiliate marketing, it’s one of the most important factors of huge success with affiliate marketing and some superaffiliates will swear by the grave of their ancestors that their lists were the major reason for their mega success. It’s not hard to build a list as all you need is an email marketing software, a free gift, and a simple squeeze page
2. Cloak your links. No matter how helpful you are, there are some people who will delete part of your affiliate link just to deny you your much deserved affiliate commissions. It’s just the flaws of the world in which we live in. there are plenty of free link cloaking tools online today.
3. Focus. Always promote one affiliate program at a time before moving on to the next. This is no to mean that you shouldn’t promote more than one affiliate program. In fact, you should promote several complimentary affiliate products in the long run, but you should allow multiple exposures to one product as well as a considerable break between different product recommendations. This is why you must have a plan and well planned sales funnel in advance before you start the actual promotion.
