Has Your Twitter Account Been Hijacked by Spammers?
If your twitter account has been displaying third party ads related to acai berries recently, then you could be a victim of the recent twitter attack.
The attack manifests itself in the form of tweets linking to websites with acai news. The attack has been so powerful that within minutes, over ten thousand such malicious tweets were made. It is thus in the best interest not to click any link related to acai news; at least not for the time being.
What if your account has been hijacked?
If your account has already been compromised, it is highly recommended that you change your password immediately. Check also that your twitter account is not linked to a third party service you are not aware or sure about.

Really? This is already happening in Twitter? I don’t know this until I’ve read your article because I am not that active in Twitter for almost 4 months now. I better check it out. Thanks for the information. I appreciate it so much!
I have heard from friends that there accounts has been stolen, but the hijackers had already changed the password that’s why they cannot changed anymore their passwords. If this is the case, what is the best solution then?
I think a lot of people get Twitter account details from encouraging people to enter their details on other sites by tempting them to enter competitions to win free iPads and the like. I don’t think people realise they’re stealing their details so worth pointing this out to people that may read this.
so far none. my twitter account is perfectly fine. but then thanks for the information. i will be on look out.

This didn’t really happen to me, but I have heard about people’s accounts being compromised in online news sites and I just had to let my valued readers know about this threat.
oh. i have not seen anything like this before. but then its some time since i have visited my twitter profile. i am going to have a look now.
This perfectly explains why a couple of my followers on Twitter were posting spam links – I knew something was up right then. I hope it doesn’t happen to me, because Twitter is serving as an ideal tool for me through which I can do my online marketing.
