The 3C Email Profits Formula

Posted by Kevin Njoroge on November 5, 2009 under list building | 2 Comments to Read

email iconEmail profits are the result of how responsive your list is to your offers and the level of trust you have developed with your list as well as other factors such as the conversion of the sales letter.

Nurturing a strong relationship and trust with your subscribers, thus improving your list response rate, can greatly boost your online profits.

To do that, there are three things that you have to pay attention to and together they form what I like to call the 3C Email profits Formula.

1.Consistency: The first component of the the 3C Formula is consistency. The term points to your being consistent with your subscribers’ interest and needs. It emphasizes on the need to deliver what you promised to your subscribers. If you fail to do that, you are then very likely to lose your credibility among your subscribers.

Every email that goes out to your subscribers must be geared towards building a continuity to your subscribers’ interests and goals.

If they are on your list because they want to lose weight, then you must be crazy enough to send them a golf-related product no matter how hot you think it is.

The subject of your Email should be in one way or another aligned to the overall goals of your subscribers unless you are very much interested in an outburst of unsubscribe, which i highly doubt.

So, just keep the foreign stuff out and give your subscribers what they want and you’ll be rewarded with respect and trust by your subscribers and, of course, huge profits.

2. Content: Information is king and with this I mean solid information that will bring added value to your subscribers’ lives.Ifyou can give your subscribers solid content, they will come to trust and respect you as a useful expert and they’ll look forward to your next email.

There are thousand ways of expressing any thought or idea. But it’s not how the idea is told that’s important but rather what the idea itself is. In other words, it’s not the words that are so important but they ideas that convey or express. The content is what remains after you have stripped away all the fluff.

Your subscribers will be after content and at the end of the day, it’s what really counts to them. So, be of value to your subscribers by providing them with useful content and they will be looking forward to your next email.

3.Copy: By copy we mean the art of persuasive writing and communication so that your prospects are motivated to take action. In marketing, whether online or offline, you must be able to convince your prospects enough to have them buy or take any desired action. This could be to click a link, fill out a form, pick up a phone and call you or to sign up for a free sample to your product.

As an email marketer, your words acts as the bridge between you and your prospects and your copy must be able to motivate your subscribers to take action and click through the links in your email.

The basis of writing a killer email copy is to realize that everyone has some form of buying resistance which must be overcome if your readers are going to take the desired action.

The objectives of your copy should therefore be to overcome the mental barriers leading to their buying resistance while persuading them to take action. This can be overcome through a combination of benefit, urgency and an incredible offer but that’s another topic for another day.

Forums As A Source Of Free Laser Targeted Traffic For Your Website Or Blog

Posted by Kevin Njoroge on October 19, 2009 under Traffic, affiliate marketing, blogging, list building, make money online | Be the First to Comment

Forums are an excellent source of targeted traffic and in fact forum traffic is one of the most laser targeted. This is a good idea because like we said in the Ebook “Easy Internet Profits: How To Make Money Online For Beginners“, the traffic to your website should be laser targeted if you are to make good money online.

Forums are actually useful across two platforms:

First, forums are a great way to know what people in your niche are looking for or want to know but that’s another topic for another day. Today we are going to look at the second way to use forums to build your online business which is:

Getting backlinks and free traffic to your websites or blog. Now, to drive traffic to your website or blog using forums, you need to find forums related to your niche and become an active member of the forum(s). Two to three forum posts are not enough and I am going to reveal to you another secret why you will want to become an active contributor of a certain forum if you keep reading.

You can easily find forums online on almost any niche you want, some free others fee based. You can find them easily by searching over at Google or any other search engine using the search phrase “Niche+forum” e.g. Pet training forum.

Now, before firing your forum marketing, you need to read the rules and regulations of the forum you just joined to stay out of trouble with the forum moderators. It’s also a good idea to introduce yourself to the other members and to get a general feel of the forum before posting. Get to know the tone of the forum members as well as the forum moderators.

You’ll also need to create a signature file which is where traffic to your website will come from. The signature file appears at the end of every post you make in the forum. By including the link to your website, interested members of the forum can click through to your website.

Your signature file doesn’t have to be so big; just your name, a statement or two and your website link are enough. It must however have a clear call to action e.g.

Once you have read and understood the rules of the forum and have a good feel for the tone of the community, it’s time to start contributing to them.

Spend some time to develop a good relationship with the community. By that I mean that you should contribute something. Don’t post junk or spammy comments that don’t make sense in the context of the thread you are posting in just for the back links to your website or get advertising credit. They will only get deleted by forum moderators in the very least not to mention that you could get your account deleted.

Instead, ask your own questions, respond to other people’s posts by offering solutions and answers to their problems and questions as well as offering useful links to free resources that other members of the community need.

your long term goal is mainly to build your credibility among other members of the forum community. Be seen as a reliable source of useful information and an active member of the community. Again don’t be afraid to learn from other members of your forum. Don’t get stuck with your own problems when you’ve willing members of the forum community to help you out.

Another powerful strategy is to introduce a free report as a solution to a problem that was posted. It could also be a piece of software, audio file or even video-as it best fits the given situation.

You can even offer some free (but useful) gift to the members of the community for their own purpose if the forum rules permits you to. This could be a set of articles,an autoresponder series etc.

If you are an internet business owner, there is one forum you must be an active member of and that is Rusell Brunson’s ConquerYour Niche forum.

ConquerYourNiche is one amazing forum where you get rewarded simply for participating in the forum. Rusell Brunson allows you to earn FREE advertising credits so you can get quality traffic just for posting in the forum! There is no other forum like this.

Everytime you post, reply, or even READ a post, you can earn advertising credits. So, if you participate in forums a lot, your earned credits can soar and your ad can be displayed multiple times. The best part: it’s totally free to join as well.

Forum marketing is one very reliable source of targeted traffic to your website. If you can take the time to participate in forums, you can gradually accumulate links back to your website and get some search engine love and some free traffic (free is good huh!).

So get your forum marketing campaign rolling and get help for those obstacles to your online business while you generate free qualified traffic to your website or blog. ConquerYourNiche is a nice place to get started.

How to write a killer sales copy for your website

Posted by Kevin Njoroge on September 23, 2009 under list building, make money online, website building | Be the First to Comment

Your sales copy is like your virtual sales agent working for you 24/7. As such, the quality of your sales copy is just as important as the quality of the product itself.

Even if you had the best product in the world, it wouldn’t matter if your copy can’t close the sale for you.

Here are some tips to help you write a killer sales copy that really sells and make you good money online.

Headline: the headline of your sales copy is the most important. It determines whether your prospects keep reading or just click away. They click away and you lose the prospect as well as any chance of making the sale.

When a potential customer arrives at your sales copy, you only have ten minutes at most to grab him/her by the throat and lead him/her into the selling process (by your copy).

You can achieve that by including the strongest benefit of using your product into the headline of your copy.

Alternatively, you can include a warning or a startling fact/ revelation in the headline to capture your prospects’ attention.

Your headline should be as obvious as they get and get your message across in no uncertain terms. It shouldn’t leave your prospect guessing what your offer is all about.

Again, don’t try to get tricky just to command your prospect’s attention because you’ll lose their love within no time.

If your headline can grab the attention of your prospects and keep them reading, then that’s a good headline that takes some beating.

Also note that the purpose of your headline is not to close the sale just yet but to keep the prospects reading on into the rest of the sales copy.

Bullets: a substantial number of your prospects will not read the entire sales copy word by word, and paragraph after paragraph but rather only skim over it.

You should use bullet points to focus the attention of your prospects to the most important selling points of your copy.

Focus on the benefits: in your sales copy, you should focus more on the benefits of using your product than on the features of your product.

Benefits are the advantages your prospects will get by using your product. To illustrate this, think about the phrase “comfortable mattress”. The phrase describes a feature of the product (mattress) but the phrase “comfortable sleep to wake up refreshed and ready to face the day” goes ahead to show the benefit arising from the comfortable aspect of the product.

A good sales copy should not just stop at the features of the product. Here’s another example:

An anti-bacterial soap that eliminates 99% of bacteria and other germs is good not because it simply eliminates the bacteria but because it saves you huge amounts in medical bills when your family stays healthy due to reduced contact with disease causing bacteria.

So, while the statement “eliminates 99% of bacteria in your household” is powerful to an extent, “eliminates 99% of bacteria in your household saving you huge medical bills when your family stays healthy” is even more powerful.

Remember that people don’t just buy products but the lifestyle achievable from using the products.

Bolding and highlighting: Use different colors and bolding to accentuate important points in your sales copy. I personally prefer to use yellow to highlight important points or phrases that I want the prospects to take notice of.

Call to action: You should have a definite call to action in your sales copy. E.g. “Click here to order now!” or “Click here to unlock your potential now!” or “Call us now to reserve a space”

It also helps to instill a sense of urgency alongside your call to action so that your prospects are motivated to take the desired action right away.

In conclusion a god sales copy should not leave your prospects guessing what your offer is and should sell the life style achievable from the use of the product.

Let your prospects know how your product can help them achieve wealth, more free time, security, fun, beauty and anything else that you can think of to make your prospects life more enjoyable and worthwhile and you have the making for a killer sales copy that makes you money online for months and years to come
